Experience
Mr. Gureff is an intellectual property attorney with experience in patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and other intellectual property matters. Mr. Gureff has extensive experience in drafting and prosecuting utility and design patent applications on behalf of foreign and domestic clients in the areas of mechanical and biomedical arts, materials science, semiconductor technology, polymer chemistry, and chemical processing and synthesis, as well as, trademark application prosecution and trademark enforcement.
Mr. Gureff also represents technology companies in connection with structuring and negotiating a wide array of complex commercial transactions and agreements, including joint venture agreements, joint research and development agreements, alliance partner agreements, vendor customer agreements, VAR/OEM/distributor agreements, master services agreements, offshore IT and development outsourcing agreements, and data access agreements. He also represents companies in the domain name dispute resolution proceedings (UDRPs) on both complainant and respondent sides.
In addition, Mr. Gureff is an experienced lecturer and presenter on the U.S. patent practice and intellectual property law in foreign jurisdictions. He is fluent in Russian and has extensive and ongoing experience traveling to Russia, Ukraine and Belarus to meet with and advise his clients. During these travels, he has given presentations to the Ukrainian Intellectual Property Institute, the Ukraine Minister of Justice, and extensively in Akademgorodok, Novosibirsk, Russia.
